​Williamsburg Flight Center is currently looking for a highly motivated CFI or CFII Fixed-Wing instructor. Flight Instructors provide flight and ground instruction in accordance with Part 61 FAA regulations.

​Instructors are also responsible for student flights, student records, and ensuring course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met. Instructor will be paid for both flight and ground instruction time. Schedules are flexible.

​Minimum Requirements:

  • FAA Certificated Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor and Ground Instructor Certificates are preferred- Must hold a current FAA Class I, or Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Aircraft piloting skills, including familiarity with and ability to perform required flight maneuvers and procedures.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply effective instructional technique in the classroom and in flight.
  • Knowledge of appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations and related administrative and operational procedures and requirements.

General Aviation Mechanic A&P

The Williamsburg Flight Center is a full-service Flight School and Maintenance Facility. We are located in Williamsburg VA. There are approximately 

88 airplanes based at our uncontrolled airport and we have a growing flight school that requires efficient maintenance with an emphasis on safety.

Williamsburg Virginia is a very popular area for tourism, with Busch Gardens/Water Country and the Historic Triangle just minutes away and only one hour drive from Richmond and Norfolk Virginia.

Qualifications:

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant A&P License Inspection Authorization (A&P and IA)
  • General aviation is a must
  • 5 years’ experience A&P working with a variety of general aviation aircraft. A&P (IA) preferred.
  • Avionics/Electrical experience a plus
  • Ability to inspect and troubleshoot old and new airplanes for repair including annual/100-hour inspections

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot problems as they arise
  • Maintain a professional work ethic and appearance at all times
  • Work on all types of general aviation aircraft
  • Must have an ability to work alone and in groups
  • Keep work area clean
  • Perform other duties as required around facility
  • Keep customer happy and safe

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour depending on experience
